Adding Fringe to the Fabulous Fabric Tote

Adding Fringe to the Fabulous Fabric Tote

We can’t get enough of these Fabulous Fabric Totes! Since they first arrived in the shop earlier this spring we’ve been totally in love with these incredible bags made from recycled materials, and our latest batch has an extra special touch.

Newly arrived Fringed Fabulous Fabric Totes take these bags to the next level with a fun frill. It’s hard to believe recycled material from belts and truck seat covers in India could make something this cute, but we love to see it. The trimming on the bottom of the fringed version makes it seem like the vibrant colours of these incredible totes want to jump off the bag and become part of the fabric of your life (and wouldn’t that be lovely).

This 11 inch by 10.2 inch (26x28cm) zip-closure tote is perfect for carrying everyday essentials or a small craft project on the go. It fits easily in the crook of your arm but it’s not at all short on style!

Our fringed versions are available in 13 colours while supplies last (and if our last two batches are anything to go by, that won’t be very long!) If you prefer the non-fringe version, we have stock in select colours of the original Fabulous Fabric Tote. We’re so glad you love these bags as much as we do!

Final Places in Fabulous Classes

Learn the techniques Adriana Torres has been perfecting for the past decade!

We are so lucky to have some incredible crafters from all over the world coming to share their amazing skills at Loop in the coming weeks and months. With limited places left on some of the most exciting courses, now is the time to book! First up, a few coveted spaces have opened up in this weekend’s Embroidery Masterclass with Adriana Torres. Adriana has traveled all the way from Argentina to share the ancient stumpwork technique, which she has spent more than a decade perfecting and adapting. After a full day exploring the craft, you’ll be all ready to create stunning textures on any project. There are currently two spaces left for the workshop on Saturday 18 May and one left on Sunday 19 May. Hope to see you there!

We also have a few places left in Holger Auffenberg’s Sock Knitting Masterclass on Saturday 1 June. This is the perfect opportunity to take your sock knitting to the next level with some seriously cool techniques and constructions, plus an opportunity to troubleshoot any issues you run into over and over again when knitting socks. And finally, Hikaru Noguchi will visit Loop from Japan in August to cover some of the techniques from her book Beyond Darning: Creative Mending Techniques (the English-language version arrives at Loop in June!) and work through the steps of making a darned brooch. Only two places remain for her Darned Brooch Workshop on Sunday 4 August — sign up now!

Loveliness from La Bien Aimée

We’ve received five boxes of gorgeous yarn from La Bien Aimée! The gorgeous new colour “Vintage Grellow” has arrived in Cashmerino and Merino Singles, along with some of our other faovurite hues. This is great news for fans of the fabulously colourful Cashmerino Tiny Tassels Kits — not only are all four of the current colourways stocked up, we’ll also be adding two more next week! LBA’s Merino Singles yarns are great for the On the Spice Market shawl by Melanie Berg and Siren Song shawl by Truly Myrtle.

Enjoy the weekend!
